SO MANY CHANGES!!!

We’re moving… kinda.

As you can tell the site is going under a very important overhaul.  After discussing with the Flying Car creative team we decided that the name, website address, and theme needed to be refined to help people really experience what we’re doin here.  So as a result the following transitions are happening.

  1. The Content will become more original | This has already begun and will continue
  2. The look of the site will become much more simle and easier to navigate | This has begun but is far from over
  3. IMPORTANT : The website is changing its name from “Where’d I park my flying car” to “Embracing the Nerd” |this is happening in the next week
  4. IMPORTANT :The feed is changing from http://feeds.feedburner.com/WheredIParkMyFlyingCar to http://feeds.feedburner.com/EmbracingTheNerd | this is happening On March 1,2010
  5. IMPORTANT :The website address is changing from trevorclinard.com to embracingthenerd.com | you can already use embracingthenerd.com , but come March1,2010 trevorclinard will only re-direct to the new address… then come May 3,2010 trevorclinard.com will not take you to the blog at all.

This is all done to make the site better… so change your book marks and get ready for even better content.

Rock out with your spockout.

Hide Star Trek all around you 2.0

Reality is slowly intersecting with the Star Trek Universe. Which makes our goal of hiding nerd bread crumbs all around us much more simple. Not long ago a small communicator that flipped open and connected you wirelessly to someone on the other side of the planet seemed crazy. And it’s pretty hard to believe that before Al Gore there wasn’t even the internet!

Well, the latest in this group of our society’s unoriginal inventions is the voice command computer interface. Which to some who don’t study sci-fi lore, might seem like a mere high tech convenience. However, for the rest of us, this is another indicator that resistance is futile… the world is assimilating to the Star Trek Universe. Here’s an idea on how to “open a channel” to the nerd inside, without others around you assuming anything.

Hide Star Trek all around you without others being aware 1.0

Internet phone? or electronic smile maker for nerds on skype?

I think it is important to keep yourself going through out the week with things that really make you happy.  One full proof way of giving your self a little insperational giggle once in a while is by spreading hidden reminders of all things Star Trek in plain sight that others would see as normal every day items.  Here is my first tip, but others will be coming soon. And definitely comment with any ideas you might have.
